The mashUp

During the summer of 2009, I used WordPress to design the BCDS mashUp. One of the goals of this project was to display some of the excellent work that Beaver students produce. Sometimes it is difficult to describe to prospective families how Beaver is different from all the other independent schools out there. Giving them a glimpse into a classroom helps them see what makes Beaver stand out.

Inspired by Worcester Academy’s  WA Mash, the BCDS mashUp integrated students own writing, video, and images as much as possible.

Note: In May of 2011, the mashUp stand-alone site was discontinued to coincide with a website relaunch. Posts that appeared separately in the mashUp now appear in the main site’s blog.
